The
Festival Concert will be in the Bates Recital Hall
on the University of Texas campus. Specially
designed for its excellent acoustics, Bates Recital Hall is
a 700-seat venue that is capable of hosting everything from
symphony orchestras, major choral presentations and concert
bands to ensembles and solo recitals.
The
Hall
also houses the country’s largest tracker organ. Based on an
18th century Dutch design, the Visser-Rowland organ is three
stories tall, weighs 24 tons and has 5,315 pipes. Bates
Recital Hall serves both performances by professional
visiting musicians and recitals by UT students and faculty
members.
Texas Performing
Arts encourages guests to arrive early in order to find
parking. Event parking takes effect 3 hours prior to
performances at Bass Concert Hall. Free parking is not
available on The University of Texas campus.

before
10 pm the day prior to your event. For questions about Click

Ř Day of Event Parking is available for purchase in person at the
entrances to campus surface lots and garages. More

Service (+$20) is available for some Bass Concert Hall

Ř Bass Concert Hall Special Accommodation
Parking is available on Robert Dedman Drive on a first
come/first served basis for $15 (credit card only).
This Parking cannot be reserved or pre-purchased.
- These spaces are along the west curb of
Robert Dedman Drive.
- Please pay the machines located in front of
the Bass Concert Hall Ticket Office on the plaza or at the
top of the stairs.
- Take
note of your license plate number and enter it into the
machine along with your payment.
Discounted Event Parking
Purchase discounted parking in
advance for Butler School of Music events from the Parking and
Transportation Services Click & Park website. Choose
"College of Fine Arts / Texas Performing Arts" as the venue
for any Butler School events you plan to attend.
- $6 parking is available for all surface parking spaces on The University of Texas at Austin campus (with the exception of F99, O, or metered parking spaces) during non-business hours
- (Monday – Friday 5:45 PM – 4
AM and weekends 7 AM – 4 AM).
- Parking must be purchased online by 10 PM the day
before the event.
- Print permit prior to arrival and place on dashboard.
- Parking is subject to availability. All pre-purchased
permits are non-refundable, even if the event is canceled.
